Summer Solstice Picnic Gathering

The longest day and shortest night of the year are almost upon us! Come join us for South Bay Circle’s annual Summer Solstice celebration!

We will have presentations by some of our most knowledgeable community members about the lore and magic of Midsummer Sabbat as well as a bountiful picnic feast! 
 
Please bring a dish to share, main courses, salads, sandwiches, snacks, non-alcoholic drinks, and deserts are all welcome. A $5 to $10 donation is requested to help with venue rental but no one will be turned away for lack of funds.

Venue is the amphitheater located in the back of Murphy Park. Ample parking is available in the parking lot and also in surrounding neighborhood streets.

Meet us at the amphitheater toward the back of the park. There is ample parking in the parking lot as well as in the surrounding neighborhood.

A donation of $10 per person is requested to help pay for venue rental but no one will be turned away for lack of funds.

We’ll be meeting at the First Unitarian Church of San Jose, 160 N. 3rd St. San Jose – entrance is on the right side of the building.

Harvest Home with South Bay Circles

Join us and celebrate the height of the harvest as the Grain Lord dances with the Crone to bless his people.

We will gather in the amphitheater of Murphy Park for this Sabbat celebration. The amphitheater is between the rec building and Central Expwy, behind the building if coming from the parking lot.

Please bring food to share for our potluck. Main dishes, sandwiches, salads, and/or desserts are all welcome.

Parking: The entrance to the parking lot is near the SW corner of N. Sunnyvale Avenue and E. California Avenue. Parking is also available in the surrounding neighborhood.

In this ritual we gather to celebrate the harvest of the grain and first fruits and to honor the Goddess Tailtiu, Irish Mother of agriculture.

Gather at 2:30PM, Ritual at 3PM.  

Entrance to the parking lot is on California Ave. We will be in the amphitheater behind the main building.  

Please bring food for the potluck that follows the ritual. Main courses, salads, or desserts are all appreciated. If your dish includes food you grew yourself, that’s especially appropriate this time of the year but it’s not required.

Donation of $5-10/person for space rental is requested but no one will be turned away for lack of funds. Consider bringing a stool/light chair, so we can fill out the other side of the circle.
