South Bay Circles Spring Celebration

Join us to welcome the coming of Spring, a playful celebration of growth and renewal, and a chance for in-person socializing with assorted Pagans. Wear fun and comfortable clothing for moving around indoors. Looking forward to seeing you!

Please bring food to share for our potluck (main dish or salad or dessert or juice/tea). Donation of $5-$10/person requested to help pay for venue rental. There’s a big parking lot behind the building and a Safeway across the street.

Come join South Bay Circles for our annual Imbolc ritual to honor Celtic Goddess Brigid!

Enter in through the side door up the ramp/steps.

No post ritual potluck.

Suggested donation of $10 to cover space rental but no one will be turned away for lack of funds.

Limited street parking available but there are several parking garages in the area.

With the end of 2022 and the beginning of the New Year, this is a great time to work on personal growth. The waxing half of the year is traditionally a time to manifest new changes into our lives. We will come together and ask for the blessings of the Goddess and the God to help bring about our personal growth in 2023.

As the veil between the Worlds thins, come join the Dark Goddess as she descends into the Underworld, the Land of the Dead.

Ritual followed by Potluck and social time. Please bring a food item to share.

If you feel drawn to do so, you may bring photos or small items for the ancestor altar.

Suggested donation of $10 per person, but no one will be turned away for lack of funds.

Harvest Home with South Bay Circles

Come join and celebrate the height of the harvest as the Grain Lord dances with the Crone to bless his people.

We will gather in the amphitheater of Murphy Park for this Sabbat celebration.

Food: No communal food will be served. Eat lunch beforehand and bring a snack for yourself as desired.

Covid: SBC Covid policy evolves as the situation does. Currently, for in-person, outdoor rituals, we ask that you be vaccinated (please bring proof), masks are optional but preferred. Please don’t come if you feel unwell.

Details: Come to the picnic area closest to the amphitheater/fire circle, between the rec building and Central Expressway, in front of the horseshoe pit.

Food: No communal food will be served.  Eat lunch beforehand and bring a snack for yourself as desired.  Water and bottled drinks will be provided.

COVID: Per the Santa Clara County site, as of March 1, 2022, current Santa Clara County indoor masking requirements have been lifted.  Outside, before approaching another person, please consider erring on the side of masking as needed.

Ritual Etiquette: Be polite, friendly, and considerate of others.

Donation: Please consider giving a donation (suggested at $20). The requested donations are used to pay for our insurance and site rental fees. No one will be turned away for lack of funds, but these contributions are essential to our continued existence.

Details: Gather with us as we celebrate the Earth Mother in her Fullness, the efforts and industry of the Spring plantings begin to promise our harvest, the fields are full, the orchards hold great promise, the herds & flocks swell, and our Mother is full of Her glorious riches as the sun reaches its zenith above us. We will draw on the traditions of the Mediterranean cultures with a goal toward holism and honoring the many aspects of Gaia.

Bring a small towel and an image of the Goddess (for the altar)

Seating:  Please bring chairs and/or blankets. The ritual presenters need the picnic tables for the crafts (see below).  Therefore, there may not be room for sitting at the tables.

Activity: We will make crafts for the small Beltane wreath as well as male, female, and multi-gendered corn dollies. As personal decoration, bunny ears are always welcome.

For those who wish to fully experience this ritual, please be sure to have a candle (and a way to light it) plus water to drink

You are encouraged to also have salt, water (to put salt in, not drink😊), incense, other altar items as desired.

For cakes & wine, please feel free to have anything you love, but some Brigid related suggestions are milk, beer, blackberries, bread, butter, and/or shortbread
